Cleansing Your
Colon of Parasites
Colon
cleansers have been around for a while and their popularity
seems to be growing. Many people believe that not only do
feces, food, and toxins collect in your digestive system, but
that almost everyone has parasites in their bodies, as well.
When performing a colon cleansing, you are also performing a
parasite cleansing.
It's true, many people do get
infected with parasites within their lifetime. From microscopic
to several feet long, there are several different types of
parasites known to infect humans. The most common include the
protozoans, nematodes, and cestodes. People get these from
drinking contaminated water or eating contaminated foods. Meat
that hasn't been fully cooked is one way people contract
parasites. Contact with animal
feces is
another.
Since people may have flu-like
symptoms when they are infected with these parasites, it is
difficult to diagnose them, some more than others. Testing a
person's feces may lead to an accurate diagnosis for some
infestations. Others are harder to detect. Since so many
illnesses cause similar symptoms, physicians may not even
suspect parasites as the cause.
Using a colon cleanser to perform
parasite cleansing is a
common practice for some people. This cleansing process
involves taking fiber tablets, anti-parasitics, sometimes
herbs, and toxin-eliminating agents. You don't just take these
ingredients once to flush out your colon and you're finished. A
parasite cleansing is often a process that takes place over a
period of several weeks. Do professionals agree that it
works?
Many professionals will agree
that using a colon, or parasite
cleansing method is effective in that it cleans out
your colon. They also agree that it is a procedure that you
should take to excess. Excessive flushing of the colon may lead
to dehydration, tears in the colon wall, and a reduction of the
absorption of essential nutrients.
Some parasites may be eliminated
by a parasite
cleansing but most don't spend the entire life cycle
in the digestive tract. Even though you may eliminate what is
present in the colon, there may be others as soon as eggs are
hatched.
It is up to you to decide if
parasite cleansing is
the answer you are looking for. For some, it may just be a way
of giving yourself peace of mind, especially if you have a
phobia of parasites.
